FBHM-033: Folding machines and long folding machines: Protective measures

There are no harmonized European product standards available for folding machines and long folding machines. In order to comply with the legally binding essential health and safety requirements of Annex I of the MD which are formulated as protective goals, the non-specific basic and group standards (e.g. DIN EN ISO 12100 [2], DIN EN ISO 13857 [3]) for the design and construction of machines can be applied. However, since the requirements therein are rather general, this “Fachbereich AKTUELL” recommends specific protective measures.
